Recent Intercontinental Carlton Cannes Review: "Hotel Carlton in Cannes is superbly situated overlooking the bay and surrounded by restaurants, bars and buzz. The hotel is a tourist magnet and at times there are large numbers of non-guests outside, posing for photos on the steps or taking photographs of the flashy cars around it. It's an expensive hotel and is not for those on a tight budget!l The  staff are extremely attentive, friendly and polite. The hotel is about to commence significant refurbishment - a key negative is the lack of swimming pool currently but this will be rectified in the revamp I understand. The private hotel beach is small, and packed, and the daily charges for using sunbeds are somewhat exorbitant. Nonetheless it's a great experience to stay at the Carlton and one I'd recommend."
